Open Space: Training leaders in permaculture in a food sovereignty network in Poland

AGRO-PERMA-LAB Foundation integrates political and popular education in Agroecology, Permaculture and Food Sovereignty. We develop inter-sectorial trainings for community leaders, activists and educators; develop community research tools and publish audio-visual materials. In this session we will present our three-tier pedagogical approach to combining community-led research, inter-sectorial leaders’ training in the methodology of social movements and pilot projects in a single process-based training programme. We have three examples of trainings we delivered with this methodology: Permaculture Education; Agrocology & Global Agriculture; Community Seed Saving. Every training our participants form a strong multidisciplinary and diverse group, and the primary criteria is that they represent a community or organisation. This way, our trainings over time started to build an inter-generational network of collaborators and organisers within the wider social movement building education methodology.
