Biography<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Luiza Oliveira<\/strong> is a permaculture designer, teacher, and consultant working in various settings like individual projects, group projects, and associations. Luiza is an active member of Permaculture Romande<\/a> und Le Nid<\/a>, a local food coop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her permaculture journey started in a personal search for a more sustainable way to promote and practice health care, in 2011.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is originally from S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil, where she graduated and worked as an MD, specialised in Neurology.
She became a medical doctor out of passion, but besides my enthusiasm, I was often disappointed seeing the many counterproductive environmental and social dynamics present in the hospitals and educational spaces. Combined with the frustration created by the negative impact of the pharmaceutical industry in medical education and practice, I decided to look for a different way of working with and promoting Health. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to permaculture, she learned to design not only physical projects, but also how to better care for her community and design her own work. She found the missing links of the health care that she was looking for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
